Jimmy Riley Dies at 61
Reggae artiste Jimmy Riley died today in New York, United States. He died at the age of 61 after a battle with cancer.
Martin James Norman Riley was born in 1954 in Jones Town and, although he formed the Sensations and was a leading member of the Uniques, which was led by the late Slim Smith. He is also known for songs to include “Black Mother’s Prayer”, “Love & Devotion”, “Rougher Yet” and “My Woman’s Love”.
Riley is the father of reggae star Tarrus Riley’s father.
