Gun Missing From Home of Prominent JLP Member


Information reaching Talk Jamaica Radio is that a prominent member of the Jamaica Labour Party has reported to the Constant Spring Police Station that his glock pistol was stolen over the weekend from his Kingston 8 home.

It is alleged that the JLP member reported that he had secured his dwelling and retired to bed when he was awakened by screams from his child. He then armed himself and went to investigate. Upon searching inside and outside his property, he realized that culprits had pried open a grill. He encountered an unknown person during his search and feeling threatened he opened fire at the unknown person. A total of 4 shots were fired and the unknown person fled. The JLP member further reported that he discovered later that several items were stolen to include a glock pistol.

Detectives from the St. Andrew North Scene of crime processed the scene and the firearm used in the shooting taken for ballistic testing, meanwhile it is undetermined if the unknown person was injured in the shooting.
