Moravian Pastors To Appear In Court On Sex Related Charges
Former president of the Moravian Church in Jamaica Reverend Dr Paul Gardner and his former deputy Jermaine Gibson is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on February 1 .
They received bail late yesterday in the sum of $300,000 each; both are charged with carnal abuse and indecent assault following investigations by detectives from the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse. It is being reported that the incidents went as far back as 2002.
Reports are that Gibson had a sexual relationship with the female complainant who was 12 years old at the time.
The police say two years later, Gardner also developed a sexual relationship with the teen.
Both men will appear in the Manchester Parish Court next week.
